Treating Benign Paroxysmal Postional Vertigo

Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) is a disorder arising in the inner ear. Its symptoms are repeated episodes of vertigo, a spinning sensation, intense but short bouts of dizziness caused by changes in the position of the head.

These are typically experienced when getting in and out of bed, laying down or even turning over. Symptoms can also be triggered by looking up or turning your head quickly, or even bending down to tie your shoe laces.  Our treatment involves the use of The Epley manoeuvre, this is a series of specific movements with the aim of helping with the condition.
